IIsabelle Laurent spent eleven years working across New York and Paris — first as a facialist at a destination resort in the Hudson Valley, then as creative director for a luxury cosmetics house in Saint-Germain. She understood, intimately, what made a beauty experience truly elevated: it wasn't the product. It was the practitioner's attention.

When she returned to New Jersey to be closer to family, she noticed that the suburb she grew up in had everything — except a place that took beauty seriously. Not as performance, not as trend, but as craft.

Luxe Beauty Lounge opened in 2013 in a converted Victorian brownstone on Meridian Avenue. The waiting list began the third week. Today, the team has grown to eight practitioners — each hand-selected and trained to Isabelle's specifications — and the list hasn't gotten shorter.
