About the Linden Herald
Local journalists. Local knowledge.
We are a team of working journalists with a combined total of more than 57 years of experience in the community newspaper business. We are a print-only newspaper written and reported in the traditional journalism manner.
Linden’s paper since 1959
The Linden Herald was founded in 1959 in Linden, a farming community in the heart of California’s Central Valley, and it’s still published every week.
Open an issue and you’ll find local news and sports, club photographs, farm news, regional travel stories, editorials and local history. We sit in on the meetings that shape daily life here, from the school board to the water districts, and report the week’s sheriff and fire calls. Local businesses advertise with us, and legal notices from across the county run in our pages.
The San Joaquin County Superior Court adjudicated The Linden Herald a newspaper of general circulation in Sept. 1960 (decree no. 72641), so we can publish most legal notices. See our legal notice rates and requirements for details.
